Dhaka Mohammedan staged a superb comeback to hold Arambagh to a 2-2 draw in the JB Bangladesh Premier League at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Sunday.

Sajidur Rahman Sajid and Jafar Iqbal put Arambagh ahead twice in the 16th and 73rd minute respectively.

Forward Towhidul Alam Sabuz and Nigerian midfielder Patrice Nzekou scored to give the traditional Black and White outfits an important point.

Both sides played out a goalless draw in the first-leg and this 2-2 made a little impact in the points table as both Arambagh and Mohammedan remained in their previous positions of seventh and 10th respectively.

Arambagh now have 22 points from 19 matches while Mohammedan still remained on the relegation zone with 18 points from same number of outings.

Sajidur put Arambagh ahead in the 16th minute when he tapped the ball home from a goalmouth melee following Abdullah’s corner.

Mohammedan levelled the margin in the 33rd minute when Towhidul Alam Sabuz headed home on a cross from Guinean Ismail Bangoura.

Jafar Iqbal restored the lead for Arambagh in the 73rd minute when the left winger dodged past advancing keeper Mohammad Nehal before sending the ball into an empty net.

However, the lead lasted only for 13 minutes as Patrice saw his left footed grounder following a back header of Bangoura found the right corner of the net in the 86th minute.
